T-Shirt Quilting Basics
T-shirts can tell the story of a life. Think of all the occasions that people receive t-shirts for in life, and you’ll instantly see what I mean: running a 5k, being on a sports team, attending a concert, participating in a special event at work or school, and even family reunions can get you a really nice commemorative t-shirt. But what do you do with them all after the event is over? Put them in a close or drawer and let time take its toll on the thin material? Maybe you have favorite t-hirts you wear so often that they are in danger of coming to pieces the next time you toss them into the wash and you wish there was some way to save it them always. T-shirt quilting is a great way to preserve your favorite t-shirts, and you’ll have a very awesome, personalized quilt to show for it. Read on to see how!
To get started making a quilt of your t-shirts, you’re going to need some equipment and material, and you need to know how to cut the panels and put them on backing and stuff them. A good home security team makes everything you do easier, but doesn’t help as much with quilting. We think the best way to show you how is to offer you a glimpse of a great instructional video by someone who knows how it’s done. Enjoy!
